Katerina Bavaro
Lab/Research Assistant at University of Toronto Scarborough
Katerina Bavaro is an incoming third-year student at the University of Toronto pursuing studies in Biomedical Ethics, Health Studies/Public Health, and Physiology.
She has a strong passion for the Health Sciences and has been actively involved in research roles, particularly in Radiology and Public Health, while remaining open to exploring other fields.
Katerina is known for her solid work ethic, exceptional organizational skills, and a collaborative mindset. She has honed her soft skills and is actively working on enhancing her technical skills to excel in the workforce.
Her educational background includes studying Honours Bachelor of Arts in Bioethics/Medical Ethics, Health Studies, and Physiology at the University of Toronto, University College, alongside an HBA in Health Studies, Biomedical ethics, and Physiology. She also completed her High School Diploma at Earl Haig Secondary School.
Katerina has been associated with various organizations, serving as an E-mentor at University of Toronto - University College, a Research Assistant at RadScholars, a Public Health Researcher at Coronavirus Visualization Team, and the Founder and Chapter leader of YLPHM UTSG at Young Leaders of Public Health and Medicine (YLPHM), among others.
She has also worked in roles such as Lab/Research Assistant at University of Toronto Scarborough, Book Writer at Antarctic Institute of Canada, Business and Ethics Co-lead and Human Practices member at iGEM Toronto, Social Media Marketing Intern at JOMI Surgical Video Journal, and Business Intern at iAscend, showcasing her diverse skillset and interests.
Additionally, Katerina has experience as a Nonpermanent Researcher at Destined Doctors, a Community Action Group member at University of Toronto, an English as a Second Language Tutor at Bharat English Education Program (BEEP), a Partnerships Coordinator at Coronavirus Visualization Team, and a Personal Assistant at CENTURY 21® and Kindermusik® International.
