Having pursued a B.A. with a double major in Political Science & Journalism and a minor in statistics and survey research methodology at the University of Maryland, Kate's academic background complements her practical skills in the digital landscape. Her role as a former Associate Librarian for Discovery and Preservation at the Library of Congress, Director of Digital Strategy, Chief of National Digital Initiatives, and Manager of Digital Library Development at the same institution has enriched her experience and knowledge base.
Prior to her tenure at the Library of Congress, Kate Zwaard served as the Lead Program Planner at the U.S. Government Printing Office and held the position of Program Development Specialist, where she honed her skills in strategic planning and program implementation. Her ability to thrive in collaborative environments with tight deadlines and high standards underscores her role as a skilled communicator and effective leader in the digital realm.
