6x 60 min BBC1 series 'Inside the Supermarket', an unprecedented observational and access based doc filming behind the scenes Britain's oldest supermarket, Sainsbury's. Delving in to the complexities of the business and documenting the ever expanding list of challenges the business faced. Access to one of Britain’s largest supermarket chains: Sainsbury’s. An observational led documentary series filming across the year with a 360-degree look at how the business operates. We negotiated the filming of an array of tricky subject matters including; Brexit, Plastic Policy reforms, failed billion pound company mergers and the complexities of the supply chain. Throughout the filming of this series, my role covered an array of responsibilities. This included; the set-up of shoots, liaising with the Sainsbury’s communications team on a daily basis to ensure we were able to cover all stories correctly and efficiently, filming schedules and weekly filming reports. As well as speaking directly with contributors we were filming with throughout the year to ensure relationships were maintained. On shoots, my responsibilities extended to story producing, kit, sound recording, consent checking and working with the team to ensure it's smooth running on the day. I was also fortunate enough to attend a shoot in Romania in which I was sent with the PD to produce and oversee the filming of the Christmas advert, a highly delicate filming set up. During the edit I worked closely with both teams to support all six edits running concurrently as well as continuing to film close to broadcast

A LinkedIn short-form branded documentary showcasing how the company could change the fortunesof a small town facing large scale unemployment. I was tasked with sourcing the town where this would be most beneficial as well as targeting charities,homeless shelters and job centres to find the characters that we could include in the documentary. Interviewing, filming and cutting casting tapes for pitch purpose for the client to decipher if the ideawas feasible. Following our development and up against three additional ideas, ‘Rise Again’ formed the basis for the advertorial used by LinkedIn

Part of the crew monitoring the 24 hours a day rigged filming of one of London’s busiest A&E departments at St Georges Hospital, a highly sensitive and temperamental environment. Initially on the six weeks rigged shoot in the A&E department of St George's Hospital and then moving in to the edit. My role was to build and maintain relationships with patients to produce stories and narrative for my episodes. From initial research meetings to master interview, my job included working closely with the PDs to build a very raw story whilst protecting the integrity of the patients I was looking after. Sitting in two daily handover meetings with senior management to ensure I was aware of all patients consenting to filming for the documentary series and developing how this might form each episode for the edit Daily visits to patients on hospital wards to ensure consent for each patient was correct and interviewing patients for back story and their potential involvement within the episode

24 Hours in A&E - Series Assistant Producer

Hospital reveals the extraordinary dilemmas faced by the consultants, surgeons and bed managers of one of the country's biggest NHS hospital trusts in Nottingham, all of which have profound consequences for the patients in their care. Working alongside numerous directors. My role included extensive research and forward planning on specific areas of the trust to build up stories and a narrative, as well as assisting directors with shooting. It also included managing consent in often sensitive environments like the Emergency Department and Oncology.

BBC2 Hospital - Assistant Producer

Girls on the Edge is an hour-long observational documentary, for BBC Two, following three families whose daughters have been sectioned under the Mental Health Act to protect them from harming themselves. The teenagers are all being treated at Fitzroy House. Their detainment is indefinite and the film explores the impact on them, their parents and siblings who don’t know when they’ll be allowed home.  Told in their own words with directness and raw honesty, the film aims to remove shame and stigma surrounding mental illness as well as explore some of the pressures on young people growing up.

'Girls on the Edge' - Researcher

Part of the team casting for the new series of Channel 4's First Dates and First Dates Hotel. Using casting strategies to delve through the database of 300,000 applications, selecting for an initial research chat on the phone. Using initiatives to select 20 applicants for the audition day. Writing up biogs for each person selected to pitch to senior Exec team ahead of audition day. On audition day, I would be responsible for Self-shooting and interviewing 20 casting tapes, then using final Cut Pro to cut and edit down to a 1minute video. These would be used by me to pitch to my management team to take part in the show. One month shooting in Italy for the Hotel series in which I would take care of my contributors that had been selected to take part as well as story producing during filming.

First Dates / First Dates Hotel Series - Senior Researcher

Working on the 8x part BBC1 documentary series, 'Ambulance' a BAFTA winning documentary series for BBC1 giving exclusive insight into how the ambulance service functions amidst the huge challenges it faces. The series meets the people working day in and day out, from paramedics to 999 call operators, to keep on top of the pressure and provide emergency care to the public. We follow the West Midlands Ambulance Service as they save lives. 8-week shoot based in Control Centre Liaising with 8 shooting teams on the ground to follow the story full circle. Post shoot I was based in the edit supporting the team with compliance, fact checking scripts, transcribing thought track interviews and selecting the 999 calls for all eight edits

Initially acting as office assistant, my role was to maintain the day to day running of theoffice. Looking after new starters, ensuring all relevant documents were scanned and filed.Arranging desk plans and sending out updates to current staff members. Organising both thesummer and Christmas parties as well as award entries throughout the year.As my role developed I was able to work on productions whilst simultaneously running the office. This enabled me to gain relevant experience in both production and editorial television.
