Kate Shrout

Kate Shrout is a seasoned tech attorney with twelve years of experience in building compliance programs, leading global investigations, and negotiating government resolutions.

She has a proven track record of partnering with senior executives to devise pragmatic solutions to compliance risks, developing anti-corruption and anti-bribery programs, and structuring internal investigations to target key issues while minimizing business disruption.

Kate earned her J.D. Cum Laude from Duke University School of Law and her B.S. Summa Cum Laude in Human & Organizational Development, Child Studies, and Cognitive Studies from Vanderbilt University.

Currently, she serves as the Senior Director and Associate General Counsel for Ethics & Compliance at Synopsys Inc.

Previously, Kate held positions such as Vice Chair on the Board of Directors at Make-A-Wish Greater Bay Area, Director of Legal for Ethics, Investigations, and Anti-Corruption at ServiceNow, Counsel at Buckley Sandler LLP, and Associate at Foley & Lardner LLP.
