Kate Malmgren

Kate Malmgren, a sustainability, green building, and ecology specialist, is making waves in the environmental management and ecological consultancy space. Malmgren holds a Master of Science (MS) degree in Marine and Coastal Systems from Universidade do Algarve and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. With a passion for driving innovative nature-inspired design solutions, Malmgren has excelled in various roles. She has worked as the Ecology Program Lead and Program Manager for REWS Sustainability at Google and was a Green Building Consultant at Google at Mary Davidge Associates. She also co-founded Maalimi.org at The Hydrous and served as an ambassador for The Hydrous. Additionally, Malmgren has vast experience in groundwater and manganese removal and worked as a Sales Associate at Patagonia and as the Green Campus Program Manager at the University of California, Santa Cruz.
