Kate Lucas is an accomplished and experienced digital health strategist who has worked in several clinical and research settings. With a Master's degree in Information Systems and a Bachelor's degree in Biotechnology, Kate has a wealth of knowledge and skills in the health industry. As a Certified Health Informatician, Kate has established herself as an authority in digital transformation projects, executive-level leadership in clinical research, as well as a deep understanding of hospital and medical research information management systems requirements, opportunities, and barriers.
Kate has held several roles in different organizations, including serving as Director at The Royal Children's Hospital's Centre for Health Informatics. She was also Acting Executive Director, Data & Technology Program Manager, and Interim Data & Technology Program Manager at Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance at CSIRO. Additionally, Kate worked as an Information Management Specialist in Health at CSIRO, where she helped to formulate health industry-focused solutions. Before this, Kate worked as a Senior Consultant at Deloitte Australia, where she consulted on health informatics projects.
Kate has served as a Steering Committee Member at Department of Health & Human Services in Victoria, further demonstrating her experience and expertise in health informatics. She has also worked in several research and data management roles at the Murdoch Children's Research Institute, Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, and Monash University, further developing her health informatics expertise.
