Kate Hamre

I am an aquatic ecologist and watercolor artist passionate about innovative science, education, and writing.

Kate Hamre is a dedicated individual with a strong passion for environmental science, education, and effective science communication. With a background in Biology and Environmental Science, she holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Biology/Biological Sciences from Virginia Tech and a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Environmental Science from Colby College.

Kate has gained valuable experience through various roles, including serving as a Science instructor and tutor, Watercolor artist, Graduate Research Assistant, Graduate Teaching Assistant, Sales Associate, Environmental Education Instructor, Research Assistant in Environmental Studies, Teaching Assistant in Introduction to Ecology, and REU Intern in Ocean Sciences.

Throughout her career, Kate has demonstrated a commitment to positive collaboration and meticulous attention to detail, making her a valuable asset in any scientific or educational setting.
