Kate Fleming is the founder of horizontl, a tech social enterprise dedicated to building non-extractive, community-serving technology for full-service sex workers.

With a background in launching and scaling venture capital-backed tech companies and contributing to anti-human trafficking projects, Kate is committed to promoting workplace safety, financial security, and protections for full-service sex workers.

Her deep understanding of the implications of policies like FOSTA/SESTA on vulnerable communities has driven her to advocate for responsible and accountable technology, business, and policy approaches to benefit underrepresented individuals and communities.

Kate's educational background includes a BA in English from Brown University and pursuing an MA and PhD in English at The University of Texas at Austin.

Prior to horizontl, Kate has held various roles such as Go-to-Market Strategy & Marketing at be/get, Co-Founder at Coup.ly, Founding Partner at Channel V Media, Co-Founder at Channel V Books, Account Executive at The Rosen Group, and English Teacher at Saint Ann's School.
