Kate Cole

Kate Cole is a genealogist, local historian, and social historian with a specialization in the history of the East of England. She is dedicated to assisting individuals in uncovering the past, exploring the lives of people, their residences, and their communities. Kate has authored seven history books encompassing various subjects, including towns and villages in the East of England, as well as a book focusing on the First World War utilizing firsthand narratives of the conflict. Additionally, she contributes local history articles to magazines, delivers presentations on social history, and has appeared in interviews on numerous radio stations. Her range of services includes private-client genealogical research, house-history research, personalized Discovery Research Plans, and social history talks for groups, clubs, and societies in Essex and Suffolk. Kate is set to launch an innovative online course titled 'If walls could talk... Uncover the secret history of your home' in late 2019 to assist individuals in revealing the hidden narrative of their homes across time.
