    Kate Boldry is a Module Leader at UCL Institute of Education, overseeing the Teachers as Authors (TAA) and Learning, Teaching and Reflective Practice (LTRP) Modules for the Secondary Teachers Education Programme.

    With a background in Sociology, Psychology, and Humanities, Kate has over 14 years of experience as a teacher in London schools, where she held positions such as Head of department and Head of Faculty (Humanities).

    In her current role, Kate also serves as a tutor on the Psychology PGCE and Social Science PGCE programs, guiding students on placement and delivering subject sessions.

    Previously, at the IOE, she excelled as an Institute Partnership Manager and Acting Subject Leader for the Psychology PGCE, showcasing her expertise in teacher education.

    Kate Boldry is passionate about inclusive teaching and learning, focusing on allyship, especially in supporting LGBTQ+ communities. She actively collaborates with student teachers to enhance their skills as LGBTQ+ allies in the classroom.

    Having pursued a Master's degree at UCL Institute of Education, Kate also holds qualifications in PGCE Social Sciences from Goldsmiths, University of London, and a BSc (Hons) in Sociology from The University of Salford.

    She transitioned into Higher Education in 2015, bringing her extensive practical experience from the field of education to her role as a lecturer at UCL Institute of Education.
