Kate Auman, MFA

Kate Auman is a multi-talented maker and designer who has excelled in a variety of roles in the creative industry. She has earned a Bachelor of Science in Graphic Design and Video Journalism from Utah State University and completed an MFA in 2D Design at Cranbrook Academy of Art. Kate honed her skills in Graphic Structures and Systems at Rhode Island School of Design through its RISD CE program.

Kate's career began as an Editor for Utah Statesman, USC's independent student newspaper, where she worked on video news. Later, she served as a Marketing Fellow at the Students for Sustainability Office at Utah State University. Kate also worked as a Digital Services Intern at NPR where she learned the ropes of user experience design.

Kate's experience spans a broad range of creative disciplines including UX/UI design, visual design, and sound engineering. She has worked at prominent companies such as Accenture, Atomic Jolt, and Elephant, filling leadership and design roles. Kate now teaches as an Adjunct Professor at the College for Creative Studies where she shares her expertise and insights with the next generation of designers.
