Kate Arthur is a renowned leader in education innovation and technology. Kate has been passionate about ensuring that every student is equipped with the necessary tools and skills to create and innovate in the 21st century. She founded the bilingual non-profit organization, Kids Code Jeunesse in 2013. The organization has reached over 375,000 students and 12,000 educators across Canada with a particular focus on girls and disadvantaged groups. Kate believes in educating young minds on topics such as Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and the United Nations Global Goals to ensure they are part of the conversation about their future and education.
Kate's career spans across multiple industries and continents including Just for Laughs in Montreal, West End theatre in London, rural lands in Australia and Asia, and CBC/Radio-Canada. She left CBC/Radio-Canada in 2008 to co-found DMCS Canada, an IT company that focuses on providing hardware and software services for small to mid-sized businesses in Canada. Kate is an advocate for agile education systems that adapt to change quickly and equip young Canadians with the necessary skills to be true leaders.
Kate is also a mother of three daughters and is actively involved in their upbringing, raising them to be strong, independent, creative, and kind individuals.
