Kassy Schimkaitis

Kassy Schimkaitis is the VP of People Strategy at Commnet Broadband, a Colorado-based telecom company.12 She is a business-focused global HR leader with a proven track record of driving long-term results.3

Schimkaitis's late grandfather, who worked in the "personnel department" in the early 20th century, inspired her to pursue a career in HR when she was a college student. He convinced her that HR is about creating better workplaces and that "the people [are] the heart of a business".1

As the VP of People Strategy at Commnet Broadband, Schimkaitis spearheaded the development and integration of the company's first core values, transforming its organizational culture. She collaborated with the executive team to define five aspirational values that were woven into the HR strategy, shaping goals, performance management, rewards and recognition, employer branding, and the hiring process.1
