Karthik Subbian, a senior manager at Amazon with over 17 years of experience in the industry, is looking to hire both full-time engineers and scientists. With his team, he is working on building the next-generation shopping search engine at Amazon to provide relevant and trustworthy search results to customers worldwide. Karthik's expertise lies in designing and implementing modern information retrieval, deep learning, and graph mining methods to improve the quality of search results. He is also responsible for ensuring the search platform is robust against abuse and fraud attacks from spammers. Prior to joining Amazon, Karthik worked as a researcher and tech lead at Facebook, where he studied information propagation and user modeling problems with a focus on social network structure and interactions.
