At EY in my role in the Digital & Emerging Technology space, I work closely with the office of CIOs and CTOs in the financial services domain focussed on Consumer and Commercial Bank. I focus on helping clients co-creating, designing and implementing technology-enabled transformations. Some responsibilities include:

- Partner with banking and financial services clients to solve complex problems strategically and apply emerging technology and data capabilities
- Enable technical teams to adopting data driven approaches to prioritizing features, and driving engineering strategy
- Influence design, architecture and help building high functioning engineering teams in fast paced environments

Senior Manager

Head the Data Engineering for Goldman Sachs’ Consumer Credit Card. Partnerships include Apple Card and GM. Architected and led the build out of an award winning - secure and scalable near real time, low latency data pipeline to process massive datasets. 

Some responsibilities include

- Built a cohesive team of top performing engineers by providing constructive feedback, performance assessments and forums to learn and grow
- Worked with various tech, product and business functions within the firm to establish and deliver the product roadmap
- Architected and built a roadmap for a migration of a Data warehouse from move from on-prem to AWS cloud without business impact  
- Implemented various workflows - supporting Compliance, Fraud, Credit, Risk, etc.. 

Key Achievements
- Awarded "Data Team Innovation Award" by Databricks for building a very innovative platform to support some of the most complex usecases in the Cards industry
- Successfully managed a team of 30+ Data Engineers across multiple lines of business spanning across the globe
- Increased developer productivity by standardizing design patterns of the application and enforcing strong coding standards in the application platform
- Provided a platform for engineers to showcase their work and thrive in a collaborative environment. 
- Build strong relationships with members of the team, key stake holders and leadership to build a cohesive working model

- Led the build out of multiple modern cutting edge, scalable, unified data platform supporting thousands of workflows on a daily basis across various functions including ML, AI, reporting and analytics
- Increased developer productivity and reduced development/implementation time by identifying and implementing abstractions for the end to end ETL pipelines
- Increased efficiency of the data platform by identifying bottlenecks and fixing bad design patterns

Goldman Sachs

Vice President | Head of Data Engineering -  Consumer Credit Card

Lead the Data Engineering function for Goldman Sachs’ Consumer bank. Successfully saw the launch of multiple products include:
- Personal Loans
- Multiple Deposit products across US and UK

Some responsibilities include

- Architected and built abstractions and design patterns to provide reusable methods in the ETL and reporting tools, which led to reduced time to market and a stable product 
- Built a framework for secure pipeline development that would enable operational analytics as a use case
- Built a bottom up team with increased collaboration and avenues to learn and grow as a team
- Architected and built a roadmap for a migration of a Data warehouse from move from on-prem to AWS cloud without business impact  
- Rearchitect specific components of the architecture to scale as the business portfolio and data volumes scale

Key Achievements
- Increased developer productivity by standardizing design patterns of the application and enforcing strong coding standards in the application platform. Reduced time to market for new workflows from 5+ days to ~4 hours
- Provided an environment for peers and junior engineers to highlight their achievements in multiple avenues including senior leadership

Head of Data Engineering - Personal Loans & OnPrem Data Platforms

- Designed and architected the initial version of the data warehouse
- Designed the system to system integration for ETL pipelines
- Loaded data from various sources into RedShift
- Integrated warehouse data with Looker 

This provided advanced analytics capabilities to ask questions such as: How much does a customer donate if they listen to 10+ hours of content per week. This further enabled contextual and customized ad campaigns, and in turn increased revenue streams

Lead - Data Platform

KeySupreme is enabling every person and machine to be authenticated with security, privacy and convenience. We provide online and offline authentication using a patent pending technology - Dynamic pattern recognition to authorize the users against the application.

Prime focus includes:
- Provide authentication as a service platform to enable the Dynamic ID authentication as a plug and play service.
- Provide a light weight and secure implementation to enable authentication
- Provide a solution that is built to scale to service 1000s of requests per second without any performance issues. 
- Identify good v/s bad requests, and provide a framework to reduce DDoS

KeySupreme

CoFounder and CTO

Architected, and led the build out of various web and mobile platforms that integrate journalism, culture and media contributed by local and national shows, reporters and a dedicated participatory community. Responsibilities include  supporting various properties.

My primary focus was on automating where possible. Worked extensively with APIs, both creating APIs and consuming API end points. 

Some of my work helped increase revenues significantly. Example, Paypal and Braintree Integration to the Web donation forms

Day to day responsibilities 

- Was responsible for the day to day functioning of the revenue forms (https://pledge3.wnyc.org)
- Increased revenue by enabling alternate modes of payment (Paypal) which led to revenue of excess of $800k annually
- Enabled multiple payment mechanisms for various departments within WNYC which processed payments and transactions of ~$600k within 6 months of launch
- Automated Systems to reduce manual tasks (Wrote parsers which would read incoming requests and update the CMS automatically, thus reducing the manual tasks)
- Integrated multiple backend systems to ensure data integrity
- Identified and resolved risks by prototyping and key feasibility studies

Lead - Donations Platforms and CRM

Worked on the overall system solution including working with developers in designing parts of the system, leading investigation of new technologies in the solution design and also mentoring junior developers onboard. Demonstrated flexibility by taking on different roles in various phases of the Application Development process.

Implemented an procurement system to channelize the order of lab equipments, products and services to the company.

Implemented a CMS around a proposal exchange system for students to exchange papers and proposals. .

Implemented an IP address compression algorithm to store large number of IP addresses in a compressed form achieving a compression ratio of 400%, also supporting geography based clustering.

Worked on large-scale, custom-designed, multi-tier, enterprise-level software projects using object oriented technologies and Agile Methodologies Worked in teams providing production support
