Karthik Padmanabhan, a seasoned professional with over 34 years of experience in the Hi-tech Industry, was born and raised in Bangalore, India.
He holds a Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Malnad College of Engineering, affiliated with Mysore University.
Karthik has worked with renowned companies like Wipro, Microsoft, IBM, and currently Google, where he leads Developer Relations in India focusing on the adoption of Google AI technologies and other Google offerings.
Apart from his corporate roles, Karthik is an entrepreneur who co-founded ThinkVarsity IT Career School in 2007 to address employability challenges in the IT Services Industry.
He is actively involved in mentoring startups through programs with Google, IBM, and industry partners, dedicating over 1,000 hours to support early-stage businesses.
Karthik is also a climate change and net-zero enthusiast, along with his wife Shyla, and together they promote sustainable living through their venture, Yash Farm Stay, emphasizing agro-tourism and eco-friendly practices.
Their farm stay near Electronics City, Bangalore, showcases sustainable living with a low carbon footprint, solar-powered mud houses, and water conservation techniques.
Additionally, they are shareholders in Nesara Farmers Produce Organization, supporting organic farming of millets, pulses, and vegetables.
Karthik actively participates in talks on technology and sustainable living, showcasing his expertise in entrepreneurship, product management, marketing, business development, and developer relations.
His leadership at Google involves managing teams that empower the developer and startup ecosystems through various community initiatives and programs.
