Highlights
I like that @tbpn is taking a stance here, and hopefully, it will influence the industry to be better.
Every now and then, there is some truly idiotic behavior in the industry, but everyone is trained to turn a blind eye to it because criticism is somehow anti-entrepreneurship.
I remember back in the day, YC was really drilling into founders not to do idiotic things, lie, or break handshake deals, etc., basic things. Even commenting harshly on something in HN PG might email you on how stupid it was. PG even has essays about “be good”, “to be nice”, and how “mean people fail”.
While it’s not exactly being mean, behaving like a degenerate is still not respectful towards customers, investors, or anyone really.
Was reading this and it was interesting to see how some of our early hiring principles & culture at @linear are becoming more mainstream with AI:
like judgment/taste being as important as technical skills, collapsed roles, and worktrials vs interviews https://t.co/hl5hPyN8lV https://t.co/671E72TflI
