Consulted with Zinc VC, working on the talent team to attract 70 founders to their next mission which will focus on the environment. Zinc were looking for people with expertise in food, transport, construction or manufacturing sectors and/or B2B experience as applicants for this next venture builder programme. To amplify the venture builder, Zinc also sponsored series 2 of Warrior Women the podcast. 

Zinc invests in entrepreneurs who want to build commercial solutions to our most pressing societal challenges. Rather than waiting for good companies to appear, Zinc helps individuals (before they have a business idea or a team) to build from scratch a new commercially-ambitious company to solve the social challenge that they are most passionate about. Typically, those individuals are 10 to 20 years into their career, but are frustrated that they are not having the social impact they want.

Since its inception in 2017, Zinc VC has supported over 200 entrepreneurs and helped them build over 60 ventures.

Growth strategy partner, environmental mission 

Lead the strategy, design and launch of a new communications channel that supports the development of the 700 charities Lloyds Bank Foundation partner with. The creation of the community was a rare and exceptional opportunity to help break new ground by bringing together charities from across the country under one digital roof. 

Lloyds Bank Foundation are determined to better support charities that tackle some of society’s most complex social issues. This platform will help the Foundation to better engage with the charities we partner with and find creative ways of convening charities together that go beyond our face-to-face and virtual events.

Over seven years, this focus developed into a highly respected strategic process that enabled clients like 101, ID Comms, Rehab Studios and Karmarama to outperform the market. Our specialism was in identifying (through stakeholder research and market research) how to stand out from the competition. This insight informed strategy and translated into effective, breakthrough self-promotional campaigns for the attraction the customers.

During this period I also co-founded two ventures in the agency space: The Art of New Business (TAONB) and the national UK Agency Awards. Through our events, research and shared resources these programmes demonstrated (and awarded) innovative ways for grow business.
