Karla Gilbride

Karla Gilbride is a well-respected attorney who has spent her career advocating for the rights of consumers and employees. As a staff attorney at Public Justice, she focuses on high-impact cases that involve class actions and protecting consumers from one-sided, unfair, or deceptive corporate practices. Prior to joining Public Justice, Karla worked as an associate at Mehri & Skalet PLLC, where she focused on civil rights, wage and hour, and fair housing issues. Before that, she worked for Disability Rights Advocates, bringing class actions and other cases on behalf of people with disabilities.

Karla is a graduate of Georgetown Law School and is licensed to practice in Washington, D.C., New York, and California, as well as before several federal district courts and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She has served as a law clerk to Judge Ronald Gould on the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit in Seattle, and has also worked as a field organizer for Green Corps and the Sierra Club.
