Karl Schultz is a seasoned UX designer with extensive experience working in the tech industry. He has a background in graphic design and holds a BFA with Distinction in Graphic Design, New Media from the California College of the Arts. Karl has worked for several prestigious companies, including Coalition, Inc., Atlassian, Macy's, Razoo, Hotwire, CBS Interactive, CNET Networks, and Michael Osborne Design. He has also freelanced for Time Life and served as the Art Director and Art Department Manager at National Direct Marketing, Corp.
Karl's professional experience is focused on designing great user experiences and interaction designs, using a user-centered design process, and Lean Startup/Lean UX methods. He is skilled in evaluating user research, analyzing web data, creating A/B tests, and constructing research plans. Karl is an expert in determining information architecture and visual communication requirements, proposing UX for long-term goals, and leading collaborative ideation for design solutions.
Karl creates a variety of user experience resources, including personas, user flows, user scenarios, and customer journey maps. He also creates mockups and wireframes for prototyping ideas with required levels of fidelity. He writes specifications and works with engineers in Agile Scrum environments.
