Karl Loepke

Karl Loepke is the founder of Skeptic Distillery Co, a craft distillery located in Melrose Park, Illinois. Established in 2018, Skeptic Distillery is notable for its innovative use of cold vacuum distillation technology, which allows for the production of spirits that maintain their delicate flavors and aromas by distilling at lower temperatures (around 50-70 degrees Fahrenheit) without high heat. This method preserves the integrity of the botanicals and results in smoother, fresher-tasting spirits.13

Before founding Skeptic Distillery, Loepke served as the Vice President and Co-Owner of Enviro Tech International, Inc., where he gained significant entrepreneurial experience and helped turn the company around during a challenging period.2 His educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Molecular Biology from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.2
