Karl Anthony

Karl-Anthony Towns Jr., commonly known as KAT, is a Dominican-American professional basketball player currently playing for the New York Knicks in the NBA. Born on November 15, 1995, in Edison, New Jersey, he grew up in Piscataway and attended St. Joseph High School in Metuchen, where he achieved significant success, including leading his team to three state championships and recording two quadruple-doubles during his senior year.14

After high school, Towns played one season at the University of Kentucky, where he was part of a highly talented team that reached the Final Four of the NCAA tournament. He declared for the NBA Draft after this season and was selected first overall by the Minnesota Timberwolves in 2015. Towns quickly made an impact in the league, winning the NBA Rookie of the Year award in 2016 and becoming a four-time NBA All-Star.25
