    Karim R. Lakhani is the Charles Edward Wilson Professor of Business Administration and the Dorothy & Michael Hintze Fellow at the Harvard Business School with a deep expertise in technology management and innovation.

    He is the founding director of the Laboratory for Innovation Science at Harvard, where he leads research on crowd-based innovation models and digital transformation.

    Karim Lakhani is also the Principal Investigator of the NASA Tournament Lab at the Harvard Institute for Quantitative Social Science and a faculty co-founder of the Harvard Business School Digital Initiative.

    He played a key role in the development of the Harvard Business Analytics Program, an online executive education program aimed at cultivating the next generation of digital and analytics leaders.

    With a background in Electrical Engineering and Management, Karim Lakhani completed his academic journey with a PhD in Innovation and Technology Management from MIT Sloan School of Management and an MS in Technology and Policy from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

    His professional experience includes serving on the Board of Directors of Mozilla Corporation and previously working as a Strategy Consultant at the Boston Consulting Group, a Lecturer at MIT Sloan School of Management, and in Sales and Marketing for Medical Systems at GE Medical Systems.

    His specialties lie in Open Source software development practices, designing Contests, mobilizing Communities, and Digital Transformation.
