Karien Dekker

Karien Dekker is an Associate Professor at RMIT University, specifically within the School of Property, Construction and Project Management. She holds a PhD in Urban Geography from Utrecht University, obtained in 2006, and has a strong focus on designing inclusive communities. Her research interests include community participation, affordable housing, urban governance, social cohesion, and social capital.12

In her current role, Dekker serves as the Higher Degree by Research Director in the College of Design and Social Context.
