Karen Wicker

Karen Wicker is a seasoned communications professional with 30 years of experience in protecting reputations and offering candid counsel. Previously, she transitioned from a television reporter to a public relations expert, specializing in media training and crisis communication.

Having honed her storytelling abilities at OETA and KOTV in Tulsa, Karen went on to hold key positions as the Director of External Affairs at Oklahoma State University Center for Health Sciences and as the Region President at one of Oklahoma's major public relations companies. Balanced between Oklahoma City and Tulsa, she possesses in-depth knowledge of both markets.

In 2012, Karen established Candor, where she serves as President & CEO, lending her senior leadership skills to numerous client accounts across various sectors such as healthcare, education, technology, and non-profits. She is actively engaged in her professional community, staying updated through daily business podcasts and hosting a Saturday coffee club.

Karen's educational background includes a Bachelor's degree in Journalism and a Master of Arts in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. She also pursued studies at Putnam City High School.
