Karen Hwang

Karen S. Hwang is an accomplished attorney in Chicago, specializing in business, branding, and intellectual property law in the hospitality, entertainment, and tech market sectors. With over a decade of experience serving in various legal roles, from in-house counsel law clerk to corporate law legal intern, Karen has honed her expertise in helping entrepreneurs and companies start, grow, and protect their businesses. She is a licensed attorney in both Illinois and California and is the founder of KSH Law Group, LLC, where she provides legal advisory services to clients across various industries.

Beyond her entrepreneurial ventures, Karen is an active member of the Asian and legal communities. She currently serves as the President of the Korean American Coalition of Chicago, one of the leading advocacy and leadership development organizations for Korean American entrepreneurs and professionals in Chicago. She is also a former board member of the Hanul Family Alliance, a non-profit organization that provides social services to Asian American seniors and adults with disabilities.

Karen holds a Juris Doctor degree from the Chicago-Kent College of Law, Illinois Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Baylor University. She has previously held positions as an international programs assistant at Heartland Alliance for Human Needs & Human Rights, a judicial extern at the United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, and a 17th district intern at U.S. Congressman Chet Edward's office.
