About
Karen Lee is currently the Associate Dean of Instruction for Basic Education for Adults at Lake Washington Institute of Technology (LWTech). In this role, she is responsible for providing instructional and administrative leadership for the following departments: English Language Learning, Adult Basic Education, Adult High School Completion (HS+), and I-BEST.1
Prior to becoming Associate Dean, Lee was a tenured professor in the Basic Education for Adults department at LWTech. She has extensive experience teaching English language skills in grammar, pronunciation, writing, reading, speaking, and listening at all proficiency levels from beginner to advanced.1 Lee has taught at universities, community colleges, and in programs for immigrants and international students both in the United States and overseas.1
In addition to teaching, Lee has experience in program management and administration, including recruiting, marketing, and advising students. She helped grow the I-BEST program at LWTech.1 Lee has also served as an Associate Faculty member at City University of Seattle and Cascadia Community College.1
