Previously, she contributed as the Senior Advisor to the Centre on Well-being, Inclusion, Sustainability, and Equal Opportunity (WISE) at OECD - OCDE. Additionally, she held roles such as Chair of the Supervisory Board at Impact-Linked Finance Fund, a member of the Board of Trustees Strategy Committee at The Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG), and part of the Climate Advisory Group for the Multi-Asset Climate Solutions Fund at Aberdeen Standard Investments.

    Furthermore, Karen's professional journey includes remarkable tenures as a Board Member and Chair of the Nominating and Successions Committee at European Venture Philanthropy Association (EVPA), a Visiting Lecturer at Stockholm School of Economics in Riga, and an Associate Fellow at Saïd Business School, University of Oxford.
