Karen Colonias is a highly accomplished professional with a strong background in engineering and business, currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer of Simpson Manufacturing since 2012.

With over three decades of experience at Simpson Strong-Tie, she has held various key roles including Vice President of Engineering, Research and Development Manager, and Division Manager.

Karen started her career at Simpson Strong-Tie in 1984 as an engineer in the Research and Development department, focusing on product design, testing, and code development.

Her educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from California State University-Sacramento and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with a focus on Marketing from California State University-Hayward.

Throughout her career, she has demonstrated a strong commitment to innovation, leadership, and business acumen, leading to her appointment as a director of Reliance Steel and Aluminum Co. in 2016.

Karen Colonias is a licensed professional engineer and brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her current role as CEO of Simpson Manufacturing.
