Dr. Kara Allen Soldati is the Chief Executive Officer of UMOJA, an organization dedicated to promoting adult capacity-building and creating inclusive and safe spaces through social and emotional learning practices. With fifteen years of experience in disrupting unjust systems, Kara is committed to supporting individuals in their growth and learning journeys. She previously served as the President & CEO of a nonprofit aiding youth impacted by the foster care system and homelessness. Kara's educational background includes a B.A. in Child Development and Family Studies from Purdue University, a Master's in Social Work from the University of Southern California, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership for Social Justice from Loyola Marymount University, where her research focused on labeling, trauma, narrative therapy, and critical race theory. Kara has taught various courses, such as 'The Interface of Society and Human Development' and 'Operations & Finance Practices for Therapists and Leaders,' and is a passionate speaker on topics like change leadership and gender equality in the workplace.
