Kanjun Qiu

Kanjun Qiu is a prominent figure in the tech and venture capital landscape, currently serving as a General Partner at Outset Capital. She is also the co-founder and CEO of Imbue, a Series B startup focused on developing intelligent agents that can reason and code. Under her leadership, Imbue has gained backing from notable investors, including NVIDIA.15

Before her current roles, Qiu co-founded Sourceress, a machine learning-driven recruiting company that was part of Y Combinator's Summer 2017 cohort. She played a significant role in scaling Dropbox, where she served as the first Chief of Staff, helping to grow the company from 300 to 1500 employees.235

Qiu holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (EECS) from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Her work and contributions have earned her recognition, including being named to Forbes' 30 Under 30 list in 2020.45 In addition to her investment activities, she has been involved in scouting for Sequoia Capital since 2016, showcasing her commitment to supporting early-stage startups in the AI and technology sectors.23
