Kaitlin Hunter, MPH
Implementing the drug negotiation provisions of the IRA
Kaitlin Hunter is a health policy expert with extensive experience in driving health system reform. She holds a Master's degree in Public Health from the prestigious Yale School of Public Health, and a Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience from the University of California, Los Angeles.
She has worked at the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services as a Social Science Research Analyst, and as a Health Policy Advisor at Third Way. She has also been a Summer Fellow at Internet Association, a Graduate Teaching Fellow at Yale University, and a Global Health Justice Fellowship at Yale Law School. In addition, she has held various positions at the office of Senator Brian Schatz, including Legislative Correspondent and Staff Assistant.
Ms. Hunter's work has focused on reforming the U.S. health system towards more evidence-based, patient-centered care. She has been involved in efforts to implement state-based public options, reinsurance, telehealth reimbursement, and long-term care. She has also contributed to improving the Affordable Care Act.
