Kailyn Swarthout

Kailyn Swarthout is an experienced educator, holding a Master of Education (M.Ed.) in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Washington College of Education.

With a background in international studies, Kailyn also completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in International/Global Studies at the University of Washington.

She further enhanced her skills by obtaining a Nonprofit Management Certificate from the Evans School of Public Policy and Governance at the University of Washington.

Kailyn's passion for education and the environment led her to study Graduate Resident, Education for Environment and Community at IslandWood, showcasing her commitment to holistic learning.

Throughout her career, Kailyn has held various positions in educational organizations, including Education Programs Coordinator at the Foundation for International Understanding Through Students.

Her previous roles include Education Exchange Coordinator at Rustic Pathways Children's Home, Urban Programs Educator at IslandWood, and Program Leader at Rustic Pathways.

Kailyn has contributed to program evaluation and support as SOP Program Evaluation Support at IslandWood, and as SUSI Program Assistant at Foundation for International Understanding Through Students.

Her diverse experiences also include serving as an English Language Assistant at the Teaching Assistant Program in France USA and as an International Specialized Programs Assistant Coordinator at the University of Washington.

Additionally, she has shared her knowledge and enthusiasm as a Campus Tour Guide at UW Office of Admissions, and has engaged in recreational activities as a Recreation Assistant at the City of Olympia, showcasing her versatility.
