Kailyn holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Political Science from Marquette University and a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Biology, General from the University of Portland.

Her professional journey includes roles such as Senior Analyst in Intergovernmental Relations, Policy Director, Chief of Staff to the Common Council President, and Legislative Assistant, all within the City of Milwaukee.

Additionally, she has experience as a Policy and Program Analyst at the Department of Corrections in Wisconsin, Civic Dialogue Leader at Marquette University, and Educational Success Research Coordinator at Alliance for Strong Families and Communities.

Kailyn has also contributed to various organizations such as ABCD: After Breast Cancer Diagnosis, Kent School District, Nuestros Pequeños Hermanos™, Providence Hospice & Palliative Care, Children's Cancer Association (CCA), and The Aspire Project through roles like Volunteer Engagement Fellow, ELL Paraeducator, Volunteer Teacher, Camp Erin Intern and Big Buddy, and Ballet Teacher, respectively.
