Kai Pinkernell is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in the medical and biotechnology industries.
He holds an EMBA from the University of Southern California - Marshall School of Business, along with MD degrees from the University of Münster and The University of Bonn.
Currently, Kai serves as the Chief Medical Officer / Chief Development Officer Vorstand at Medigene AG, where he plays a pivotal role in strategic decision-making and overseeing medical operations.
Previously, he held key leadership positions at prominent organizations such as Medigene AG and Miltenyi Biotec, where he excelled as the Senior Vice President Medical Affairs, Chief Medical Officer, and Global Head of Clinical Business.
His career also includes roles as the Head of Clinical Development/Global Medical Director at Miltenyi Biotec, Senior Director of Regenerative Cell Technology at Cytori Therapeutics, and Director of Clinical Applications- Cardiac at Cytori Therapeutics.
Kai Pinkernell's professional journey began as a Cardiovascular Researcher at Tulane University and later as a Physician at Technical University Munich.
During his academic pursuits, he contributed to research as a Doctoral Student at the Institute for Arteriosclerosis Research at the Westf. Wilhelms University Muenster, showcasing his dedication to advancing medical knowledge and innovation.
