Justin Owen is the President & Chief Executive Officer of the Beacon Center of Tennessee, where he leads the organization, oversees day-to-day operations, and drives strategic growth and mission advancement.
With a commitment to promoting free market solutions at the state and local level, Justin has played a pivotal role in key policy initiatives in Tennessee, including the establishment of the state's first private school choice program and the repeal of the Hall Income Tax.
Throughout his tenure at Beacon, Justin has been a prominent voice in the media, representing the organization on television, radio, and through opinion pieces in major publications like the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and various Tennessee newspapers.
Prior to his current role, Justin's professional journey included serving as a law clerk at the U.S. Attorney's Office in Memphis and gaining legal experience at the Pentagon with the United States Navy.
Justin is deeply involved in the community, dedicating his time to local nonprofits and serving on the board of a charter school. His contributions have been recognized with awards such as the Nashville Business Journal's 'Forty Under 40' and the Buckley Award from America's Future.
He holds a J.D. from the University of Memphis—Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law and a B.S. in Political Science from Middle Tennessee State University, where he honed his skills and knowledge for his impactful career.
