Justin Norman is an American expat and entrepreneur based in Johannesburg, South Africa, focusing on supporting startups across the African continent.

With a background in Political Science and Communications from the University of Michigan, Justin has gained insights into the entrepreneurship landscape in Africa by actively engaging with practitioners and entrepreneurs across the continent.

He is the founder, producer, and host of The Flip, an editorial-style podcast and weekly newsletter dedicated to exploring relevant insights and stories from African entrepreneurs who are reshaping the entrepreneurial narrative on the continent.

Through The Flip, Justin challenges conventional Silicon Valley thought leadership, offering a more contextually relevant perspective on African entrepreneurship and challenging prevailing narratives.

In his professional journey, Justin has diverse experience, having served as an investor at Rally Cap Ventures, founder of Concurrent Media Group, and head of special projects at Heavy Chef (Pty) Ltd, among other roles.

His educational background includes studies at Harborfields High School and a B.A. in Political Science and Communications from the University of Michigan.
