Justin Kaneps, born in 1989, is a notable photographer who received a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Photography from The Art Institute of Boston. With a passion for anthropologic documentary work, he gained recognition in 2017 as one of PDN's 30 New Emerging photographers to watch.
Justin's early portfolio includes a compelling series that sheds light on coal communities in Appalachia. In recent years, he has transitioned to collaborate with esteemed editorial clients such as The California Sunday Magazine, The New York Times, The Atlantic, and Surface Magazine.
Currently, Justin Kaneps owns and operates his photography business under the name Justin Kaneps Photography. Previously, he worked as a Lab Technician at The Art Institute of Boston.
