Justin Abbiss

Justin Abbiss is a skilled individual with a diverse background in adventure skills, avalanche forecasting, environmental science, solar energy, and mountain safety.

He studied Adventure Skills Training Certificate at the College of the Rockies, Level II Forecaster and Avalanche Forecasting at the Canadian Avalanche Association, Comercial and Residential Solar Certificate at Solar Energy International, and Environmental Science at Trent University.

Justin is well-experienced, having been involved in various organizations and roles including co-founder of Bikeables.com and Coffeecology.ca, co-founder of Dundurn Market, co-owner/coffeecologist at Coffeecology, and positions in safety training, avalanche forecasting, and mountain safety with organizations like Arctic Response Canada, Advanced Medical Solutions, and Treble Cone Ski Area in New Zealand.

Justin has also served as a field instructor and avalanche forecaster at the Canadian Avalanche Centre, snow safety officer at the Gulmarg Avalanche Center, and director of mountain safety at Shames Mountain Corporation. His expertise extends to being a Crew Leader at Rapattack for the British Columbia Forest Service.
