Solution Product Manager - Integrated Smart Home Solution

I’ve accelerated the project of HEMS which is Home Energy Management Solution and was intended to transform its B2B business from ‘one-time sales’ of hardware solutions into the other with recurring revenues. All the jobs required the attitudes, bold, multi-dimensional and interactive with every stakeholder.- suggested new approaches of the business and led the business development for new customers in EU and AUS- suggested a new energy managing gateway and planned its proposition- developed a sales tool demonstrating ROI of PV and energy system

During  Tech week of New Zealand, I recruit a team, named Rescue the lost ones, and won the prize of NZ$ 12,000 of the Hackathon, Future Reality NZ 2017, sponsored by IBM. all was related to applications of IoT technologies - Sigfox, LoRa and BLUMIX (IBM).

I led the pre-sales and the design of Home IoT solution. I was a delivery manager to the project for HDB/IDA in Singapore, and led discussions with potential customers for a business of smart home IoT  - ENEL(Italy), ENDESA(Spain), SINGAPORE POWER and CDL (a property developer, Singapore). All the jobs then were to build up B2B business cases and solutions, company-wide, to cope with the plan of CEO & owner family, president BJ Koo, who founded the organization to enforce B2B business.

The project was about a novel brand T-commerce on LG smart TV transforming a low-processing power STB or TV into a streaming-based T-commerce. and I played a role of technical planning, supporting the team in many ways.

Unique for its goal in South Korea, this NGO ran various projects firstly to study policies or strategies to enhance culture for women in Korean society, and secondly to help groups of the women in Korea, who'd once experienced coercion, violence, and sexual abuse or trafficking (trade) but began new life.

I dominantly worked as a pre-sales to US mobile operators to sell widget-runtime platform at the HTML5’s advent. I did lots efforts to redeem the trust of Verizon that the company had lost by not responding to the request of LGE and Verizon Wireless to resolve an issue. I focused internal resources on the support to VZW’s specification team, being the 1st implementor of their new spec.

Avoiding distortions of the defined-values happening between planning, development and marketing, I always tried keep “causality” of product planning in every communication otherwise would be diluted somehow, affecting sales, marketing, product design, even test plan. I planned and launched a good phone in China market (PRC) with the world 1st features. I persuaded even Qualcomm to release Motorola dedicated version of the chipset to support my feature. Because I had strong belief on my planning as well as engineering background, I played a good role of communication across various teams - marketing team, UX team, product strategy team, and R&D teams.

I experienced various parts of the mobile software technologies then, covering call/data protocols, UI and VAS (value added service). I was sort of a person quite often suggesting voluntarily enhancements on the products and got awarded a couple of times for the activities including patent awards. For example, I devised an enhanced new Korean keypad for phones, suggested it to stakeholders, wrote the patent, and developed and commercially applied to Motorola mobiles, rippling the whole company people for the creative minds eventually contributing to the sales in the market.

- Software development engineer & field manager-     Developed UI of feature phones, UI of BREW (a Qualcomm platform) for feature phones-     Voluntarily invented, suggested, and commercialized a Korean keypad algorithm of Motorola’s feature phones, removing the most painful issue of the products then-     Developed customers’requirements of call processing of CDMA(a telecommunication protocol) for domestic and global markets: KTF(Korea), TELEFONICA(LatAm), VIVO(Brazil) -	Played role of field-project manager in Brazil between Seoul team and Brazilian team, handling issues of field test brought up by Motorola Brazil’s QA teams
