Julie Tennis

Julie Tennis is a seasoned environmental educator with a passion for integrating local communities and natural environments into classroom curriculums. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Recreation Management and Environmental Education from Western Washington University and a Certificate in Seasonal Law Enforcement Training from Skagit Valley Community College.
Julie has worked in various capacities within the Washington State Parks system, including as a Park Aide, Ranger, and Environmental Education Specialist. She also owned and operated BeeHaven Apiaries, an apiary business that produced natural honey and beeswax products.
Currently, Julie is the Coastal Region FieldSTEM® Coordinator at Pacific Education Institute, where she facilitates and coordinates professional development workshops for educators to help them incorporate outdoor and community-based learning into their classes. Her expertise in environmental education and community engagement make her an asset in any educational setting.
