Julie Ahrens Nelson

Julie Nelson is a seasoned Health Communicator with a decade of experience in the healthcare sector. Starting her career at a non-profit hospital in Wyoming, she climbed the ranks from Marketing Coordinator to Assistant Director of Marketing. Julie briefly worked at a dental office in Texas before returning to Wyoming to hold diverse marketing communication roles at the same hospital. Concurrently, she pursued her Master of Science in Health Communication from Boston University. Her journey continued in Las Vegas as the Marketing Director at Shepherd Eye Center and later as the Director of Communications and Community Outreach at FirstMed Health and Wellness. While currently fulfilling the role of CEO of her household amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Julie looks forward to rejoining and contributing to the healthcare community in Las Vegas. In her free time, she actively engages in staying updated on healthcare communication trends and sharing insights with peers through the collaborative blog, HealthComU.
