Julie Miceli

Julie Miceli has dedicated her entire career to serving educators in various capacities, from public service to private practice, focusing on colleges, universities, and K-12 school districts, as well as state and federal agencies overseeing education.

During the Obama Administration's first five years, she held several roles at the U.S. Department of Education, including Deputy General Counsel for higher education and federal student aid, Chief of Staff, and Special Counsel where she collaborated with top legal minds in education research, policy, and practice.

Transitioning back to Chicago, she joined Northwestern University's legal team, advising on strategic goals impacting future generations and addressing complex issues encountered by major research institutions.

Julie now brings her wealth of experience to Husch Blackwell, LLP, focusing on higher education clients throughout the Midwest.
