Julie Fisher is an experienced educator with a 27-year history in the field of education, starting as a high school teacher on the South Side of Chicago and later expanding her work to Metro Detroit.
She served as the Executive Director of BBFA (Building Better Families for Action), focusing on parent education about risky behaviors among children and teenagers, and developing specialized curriculum on parenting digital natives.
Driven by the mission to educate about the impact of social media, Julie founded The Social U, introducing technology to provide personalized social media report cards using IBM's Watson technology.
Transitioning to consulting, Julie now specializes in tech and parenting advisory, professional training on tech and social media in the workplace, and developing Resiliency curriculum, with a book on the subject already published and another on technology and social media underway.
Julie is actively involved in working with businesses through Echo70, crafting Intentional Digital Engagement Strategies that incorporate personalized Digital Engagement Policy and Employee Advocacy Programs, emphasizing live training and creating Employee First content.
Her educational background includes a B.A. in Political Science and French from the University of Michigan and an M.Ed. in Education from Loyola University Chicago.
