Julian Portelli

Julian Portelli is a seasoned public policy professional with a strong background in research and policy across various domains such as intergovernmental and international affairs, identity politics, political parties and elections, citizenship and immigration policy, civil liberties, post-secondary education, environmental policy, procurement, shared services, diversity, and inclusion.

His academic journey includes studying at MPSJ, completing a Master of Arts in European, Russian, and Eurasian Studies at the University of Toronto's Munk School of Global Affairs, and obtaining an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and European Studies from the University of Toronto's University of St. Michael's College.

Julian Portelli has held key roles in different organizations, notably serving as the Director of Government Relations (Ontario) at Retail Council of Canada. He has garnered extensive experience as a Senior Policy Advisor in various capacities within the Government of Ontario, including Small Business, Community Safety and Correctional Services, Government and Consumer Services, and the Environment. Prior to this, he has worked in diverse roles such as Executive Assistant, Stagiaire / Intern at the European Parliament, Project and Data Management Coordinator at York University, and Operations Coordinator at the Canadian International Conference on Education, among others.
