Julia Padberg

Julia Padberg is a prominent figure in the venture capital and cleantech sectors, currently serving as a Partner at SET Ventures, a firm focused on digital technology for a carbon-free energy system. She has been with SET Ventures since 2016 and has played a critical role in expanding the firm's investment portfolio across Europe, particularly in energy system digitalization and mobility electrification.12

In addition to her role at SET Ventures, Julia serves as a Non-Executive Director at several portfolio companies, including Sensorfact, Flexidao, and Trunkrs. She has a strong background in corporate finance and investment advisory, having worked at merchant bank Kempen & Co., where she advised on M&A transactions, IPOs, and fundraising processes for European energy companies.12

Julia holds a Master’s degree in Environmental & Resource Economics from University College London and has been recognized for her contributions to the energy transition and climate tech sectors.
