Julia A. Luscombe is the Vice President of Strategic Planning & Portfolio Management at Feeding America, a national organization focused on ending hunger in the United States. She graduated from the Huntsman Program at the University of Pennsylvania in 2010 with a dual degree in Business and French.1
After Huntsman, Luscombe completed a Master's in Local Economic Development from the London School of Economics through the Thouron Scholarship and a Fulbright in Ecuador.1 She has been with Feeding America for the past five years, where her role focuses on facilitating near and long-term planning practices to articulate the organization's position and goals for ending hunger in the US.12
Luscombe is deeply involved in global discussions on food systems through initiatives like the Global Shapers, a World Economic Forum program.1 In 2024, she was nominated and selected as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.3
Prior to her current role, Luscombe worked in consulting and was involved in social impact organizations like Habitat for Humanity and the Bread & Roses Community Fund while at Penn.1 She is passionate about the intersection of business and social good, and the complexities of maximizing both elements.1
Luscombe is based in Chicago but loves to travel whenever possible. She remains connected to her target language of French by serving as an advisor for Alliance Française Chicago.1
