Julia Egan

Julia Egan, a business operations expert and venture associate at The Fund, boasts an impressive academic background, graduating from Macalester College with dual B.A.s in Classical, Ancient Mediterranean and Near Eastern Studies and Archaeology; and Hispanic and Latin American Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics. Julia is a multilingual speaker, having studied Classical and Hispanic Philologies at the Universidad de Sevilla. Julia is also an alumnus of the prestigious UCLA Anderson School of Management, where she honed her entrepreneurial and technology management skills while completing her MBA.

Before joining The Fund, Julia held various roles such as Venture Scout/Reporter at StartU, Product Advisor at Rupa Health, Chief of Staff, Business Operations & Strategy Project Lead, and Internal Ops Specialist at AltSchool. Her extensive professional experience includes producing works at Urban Studio NYC, serving as Administrative Assistant at Advance Publications (Condé Nast), and bilingual teaching at Berkeley Carroll School.

Julia's keen eye for detail and enthusiasm for research make her the go-to person for advising decision-makers on strategy, big or small. She thrives in clarifying and implementing ideas, managing projects, and iterating workflows. Her interests extend beyond the business world, as she has volunteered as an English Language Teaching Assistant at Collegio del Sagrado corazón de Jesús and served as Student Visit Coordinator in Admissions at Macalester College.
