Julia Duvall

Julia Duvall is a product designer, researcher, and outdoor enthusiast. With a strong background in designing wearable technology and functional clothing for human space flight, she has collaborated with NASA on projects involving space suit technology. Her passion lies in innovation, sustainability, and improving people's lives. Julia advocates for repairs and upcycling of used products while enjoying activities like wild berry picking.

She pursued her education at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, where she completed a Master's Degree in Apparel Design - Product Development and a Bachelor's Degree in Fashion/Apparel Design with a remarkable 3.9 GPA. Also, she studied Fashion/Apparel Design at the London College of Fashion.

Julia has held various roles in organizations, including Design Manager and former Apparel Product Lead at Breathe99, Soft Goods Product Design Consultant at Breathe99 and Enlightened Apparel, Outdoor Gear and Apparel Renewal Expert at The Repair Lair, Graduate Research Assistant at University of Minnesota Wearable Technology Lab, Apparel Design Intern at NASA, and Apparel Engineer Intern at NASA Johnson Space Center. Her experiences range from product development to research, showcasing her versatility and expertise.
