Julia Chartove

Julia Chartove is a highly skilled data scientist with a passion for leveraging modeling and analysis techniques to influence medical interventions and improve patient outcomes. She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Computational Neuroscience from Boston University School of Medicine and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Neuroscience from Swarthmore College.

During her graduate studies, Julia gained extensive experience building mathematical models of complex biological systems and relating them to real-life high dimensional data via statistics. She is proficient in multiple programming languages such as Python, Matlab, C++, Bash, R, and HTML, among others. Additionally, she is skilled in frameworks and methods that include dynamical systems modeling, time series analysis, signal processing, nonparametric statistics, machine learning, and data visualization, to mention a few.

At Insight Data Science, Julia had an opportunity to work on a consulting project for the bioinformatics platform omic.ai. She created a model that predicts drug-target interactions, which will be integrated into omic's platform for therapy design and treatment optimization. The generated predictions will accelerate the drug discovery pipeline, ultimately bringing promising therapies to patients more quickly.

Julia has received several awards and honors throughout her career, including travel grants and a year of funding based on her work's published results.
